Between December 12 and 16, the training course for advisors on Agrotechnology organized by the Galician Agency for Food Quality (AGACAL) took place at the Mabegondo Agricultural Research Center (CIAM). The course, coordinated by BioModem researcher Javier Bueno, addressed topics such as satellite positioning systems, new technologies in tractors, fertilizer spreaders and field sprayers or precision agriculture and livestock. BioModem member José Manuel Pereira also participated in the course as a speaker. The attendees were technicians from the Department of Agriculture (Consellería do Medio Rural) of the Xunta de Galicia (Regional Government) interested in updating their knowledge on the use of new technologies in agricultural production systems. The companies Agrícola Noroeste, Durán Maquinaria and Climate Field View also collaborated in the course, which gave practical workshops on innovative technological solutions in agricultural machinery or software for crop management using satellite images.
