The PURINPRECISO Operational Group held its final event at the DIGIPURIN 2 demonstration day 04/08/2026
After three years of work focused on the optimization and digitalization of slurry management, the PURINPRECISO Operational Group, in which BioModem participates, held its final event on May 13, 2026 within the framework of the DIGIPURIN 2 demo day, an event dedicated to innovation and precision agriculture.
The event took place at the Gayoso Castro Farm, in Lugo, and brought together professionals from the agricultural sector, technology companies, manufacturers and technicians interested in learning about the latest solutions for a more efficient and sustainable management of slurry.
During the day, the main results obtained by the PURINPRECISO Operational Group were presented, showing how digitalisation and new technologies can contribute to improving fertilisation, optimising resources and reducing the environmental impact of slurry applications.
The program also had the participation of Talleres Carruxo, which provided the vision of slurry tank manufacturers on the challenges and opportunities of the sector. In addition, attendees were able to learn first-hand about different distribution systems aimed at reducing emissions, through application demonstrations with splash plate, dribble bar and trailing shoe.
This project is funded by grants for the implementation of innovative projects of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) Task Forces, co-financed with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) within the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (PEPAC) 2023-2027. The Department of Rural Affairs is the body of the Galician Administration that is responsible for proposing and executing the general guidelines in the rural area and encompasses the competences in the field of agriculture, livestock, rural development and regional planning, rural structures, agri-food and forestry industries, forests, prevention and defense of forest fires. Budget: €180,000.00.
The project is made up of a multidisciplinary team made up of Talleres Carruxo SL, the R+D+i BioModem, Artificial Vision and Computer Architecture groups of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), SAT As Pandas, the Galician University Business Foundation (FEUGA) and, as a cooperating entity, the Mabegondo Agricultural Research Center (CIAM-Agacal).
