During the event, Manuel López Luaces, head of the Area of Training, Innovation and Agricultural Research of the Galician Agency for Food Quality (Agacal, Xunta de Galicia), offered a presentation in which he presented the main instruments and public initiatives for the promotion of the rural environment in Galicia. He also remarked the importance of public collaboration in the development of innovative projects in these sectors.

Beatriz Moure, project manager at FEUGA, has generally presented the MILLOPRECISO project, detailing its objectives, participants and outreach actions, among other aspects. Next, Javier Bueno, member of the Research Group Modeling, Energy and Mechanization in Biosystems (BIOMODEM), of the University of Santiago de Compostela, offered a technical exhibition on the work carried out during the three years of the project. In addition to presenting the progress of the USC, Javier detailed the actions carried out by the other members of the operational group: Marcos Otero and Livestock Ladrela.

This project is funded by grants for the implementation of projects of the operational groups of the European Innovation Partnership for Agriculture Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI), co-financed by 75% with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) within the framework of the Rural Development Programme (PDR) of Galicia 2014-2020, with own funds from the Xunta de Galicia by 22.5% and the Ministry of Agriculture,   Fishing and food at 2.5%. The Consellería do Medio Rural is the body of the Galician Administration to which it is responsible to propose and implement the general guidelines in rural areas, and includes the competences in terms of agriculture, livestock, rural development and regional planning, rural structures, agri-food and forestry industries, forests, prevention and defence of forest fires.
