The Galician Operational Group Millopreciso, in which the BioModem group participates, organizes on Tuesday, October 24, at 10:00 a.m., an online webinar to present the innovation project. On the day, representatives of the entities that make up this project will present the work they are doing to achieve the objectives and expected results of Millopreciso.
The Galician Operational Group Millopreciso was born in 2022 and seeks the development of precision agriculture in Galicia in the cultivation of corn silage. This technique will allow a more efficient management of agricultural resources through the analysis of data collected throughout the production cycle of the crop, which will lead to an increase in the productivity of corn silage.
Within the framework of the dissemination activities of the project, this free online webinar is organized to publicize, among the different agents of the sector and the general public, the objectives, activities in development and progress of the innovation project. In addition, each of the entities participating in the Galician Millopreciso Operational Group, among which is BioModem, will comment on the role we carry out in the project, as well as the positive impact it will have on the agricultural and livestock sectors.
The webinar will feature presentations by representatives of the four Galician entities that make up the project, in which participate FEUGA, Marcos Otero S.L., Francisco López Pena Dairy farm and the research group of Modeling, Energy and Mechanization of Biosystems (BIOMODEM) of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
Millopreciso is financed by aid for the execution of projects of the operational groups of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP), co-financed by 75% with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) within the framework of the Rural Development Program (RDP) of Galicia 2014-2020, with own funds of the Xunta de Galicia in 22.5% and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food by 2.5%. The Consellería do Medio Rural is the body of the Galician Administration that is responsible for proposing and executing the general guidelines in rural areas, and encompasses the competences in agriculture, livestock, rural development and regional planning, rural structures, agri-food and forestry industries, forests, prevention and defense of forest fires.
